G-Archiver is a program for backing up gmail messages to your computer. I started this program, entered my gmail account information and away I went, or so I thought.

It seems this program only archives new messages in your inbox which you've received recently and have not yet read. Which means if you have a gmail box full of old messages, this program won't save them for you.

I'm sad to say this is a descent idea but poorly implemented. There should probably be an option for automatic checking and backup of messages, and an option for archiving older mails maybe even let customers choose how far back to go when looking for old messages to archive.

Sadly, none of that exists and there can be no justification for the price or even trying the program as it is maybe in 2.0 or later we should all have a look again.

Plus we have gotten email stating this software steals your gmail password and sends it to the author. So I wouldn't even try this software if I was you.
