Smart Mail Checker is a program designed to check for new mail and notify you when it arrives. The program itself is pretty simple and run of the mill You input your mail server settings then let the program run in your system tray and it periodically checks for new mails.

You can specify how often the program should check for new mail and add special sound notifications when mail arrives or when mail arrives from a specific sender or with a specific subject. I like this a little better then most mail checkers which only offer you notification when you get new mail. With Smart Mail Checker at least you can set up specific notifications when a certain person mails you which is something even most full mail clients don't offer.

The price here is fair for what the program does and a small helpfile is included, however all the help file really offers help for is purchasing or refers you to the website for further support.
