MiniCapture is a program for capturing desktop activity to video.

MiniCapture at first glance may not be the most glittery program you have seen but its functionality makes up for that. One thing the program can do that some of its competitors fail to do is take stills of the screen, or parts of it. However, MiniCaptures' main function is to take partial or full screen video, complete with sound if you so choose in a fine quality then allows you to convert the .AVI file it outputs in to other formats.

Some of the formats MiniCapture will convert files in to are MPG, MOV, WMV, or SWF. It doesn't just handle AVI's it created either, it also handles any other AVI so if you just need a AVI video converter you can use it for that. Over all the program is pretty easy to use if you've used capture software before but there are quite a few settings which may give some people trouble especially when you go to converting video.

Most things here though are simple enough check the options then press a button and your done in a few minutes. Which brings me to my final stopping point, the price its a little high if you think of it as only a capture tool. When you consider the video converter too though its a pretty good deal.

If you need software like this, give it a try its not a bad choice as capture programs go.
