Actual reminder is a calendar, weather tracker, and more which tells you about events using its own voice.

I chose to download the 'British English' version of the program and it installed just fine. Once installed I had to set up the voice the computer would use and the program took me to that screen when started. While computer voices of the type from text to speech engines are far from perfect I tweaked it so it sounded half way descent in only a few seconds.

From the same settings screen I used to tweak the programs voice you can also tweak the options for the calendar, and the weather forecaster portions of the program. Once everything was setup and I clicked okay the program became a familiar box in my system tray displaying the current temperature. It then popped up a message telling me what world holidays are today.

In short this program functions well, it works as both a calendar and a weather keeper. It will tell you before something happens in a voice you set up which is a bit harder to miss or ignore then a popup window.

If the weather function wasn't enough to will also display a little calendar on your desktop which can be configured the way you want.
