Advanced Desktop Shield is a program to protect your desktop
settings.
When you start the program you are given options to save your desktop state,
load a desktop state and delete existing records all through buttons across the
right side of the screen. While the button placement seems a bit odd and
uncomfortable(most programs have buttons on the left) the program itself does
okay in spite of this minor visual flaw.
When you save the condition of your desktop things like wallpaper, icons, and
screensaver are all stored. If these should get messed up some how, you can then
restore your desktop to a saved state. The program does do what it claims, which
is save and restore desktops.
However, this is not really that impressive in my mind and I don't think it
deserved a forty nine dollar price tag. The program has a help file, should you
need one, however I don't think most people will because even with the awkward
lay out its still fairly easy to use.
