The installation of Holding Pattern is easy and intuitive. You get for Windows a zip file with a setup file in it, click on it and away you go. At the end of the installation you get a text readme and a window comes up asking if you would like to open the screen saver control panel.

Ok are you ready to go flying? Holding Pattern has you sitting in a airliner with a window seat. The views that you get are better than you are going to get than on any flight I've ever been on. The graphics are spectacular! Plus the way the views move past your window are really realistic. You get a varying landscape, mountains, lake views, and just plain plains. You get changing seat views, sometimes you just see a seat and window, sometimes a wing and a few times just a spectacular view.

Here is the real deal. What I've just written above is for the Freeware version. In the $17.50 version you get much, much more. You get sound effects, four times more content, you can set your flight path, more aerial views. Plus night and morning views, more aerial views, plus the ability to change lots of cool settings. And multiple monitor support.

In the $17.50 you even get announcements from the Captain and a Stewardess!

This would be one cool gift after coming home from a trip giftlesss.
