Download/HomepageAscToHTM converts ascii text files to htm or html documents. To convert
files enter the file names or use browse to select the file or files you want to convert
then click on convert files. You can type in a name for the file to be saved as too or
leave it blank and it will save the file with the same name as the text file but with a
htm or html extension. When it converts it adds the html code including hyperlinks,
metatags, and more to the new file automatically. Some of the text in the document may
also be converted to html tables if the spacing is uniform. It will not convert comma or
tab delimited text files. Note this program also detects ascii art now.
The policy feature enables you to have more control over your the outcome of the
conversion. You can put things such as title, description, keywords, background image,
colors, style sheets and so on in the policies so they will be automatically included in
the converted document. You can save the policies for later use. Using the policies can
make this program really powerful for all you who are power users. At the same time it is
very simple to use for the novice users.
