If you Still haven't found the perfect FTP
program? Check out ByteCatcher Pro. This well made 32-bit
downloading tool uses a three-paned Explorer-like view. One pane
shows folders and files on your local drive (unlike many other
Explorer-like FTP programs) another shows a directory tree on the
remote server, and the third, is a scrollable one that shows all
issued FTP commands along with your connection status.
ByteCatcher Pro gives you two ways to log onto a server, Quick
(when you don't need a password and log-in name) and Normal. The
program supports resumable downloads (if the server does) and
downloading files in batch mode from either HTTP or FTP servers.
Right-click menus and a toolbar give you quick access to commands
such as Delete, Rename, Make Directory, Refresh Directory, and
File Properties, and files can be transferred using drag and
drop. You can also force your computer to shutdown as soon as
downloading is completed. And a built-in address book lets you
keep a record of your favorite FTP sites. Try it!.
