When the CD format for music became available, each and everyone of us
could not wait to get our hands on them. How we flocked to buy CDs and CD Players. Now
that we have the capabilities to listen to them on our computers, the next step is to keep
track of what's on each of the CDs. CATraxx will soothe your need to thoroughly catalog
each and everyone of them. You can add your personal knowledge of the Artists, your date
of purchase, the studio where an individual song was recorded, and on and on and on. There
are just too many features and details to list. A Scanner is a must, if you want to have a
bitmap image of the CD cover included in your files. Did I mention that you can also add
your 'life time collection' of LPs to the catalog?
Installation of CATraxx is reminiscent of Win3.1, if you're a Win95 user. You must type in
the full path where you want the program placed. There is no 'Browse' button for changing
location. Once installed, CATraxx is ready to go. Included in the installation is a file
called 'sample.mdb'. Upon opening the program, 'sample.mdb' is automatically on screen and
ready for you to explore the many features available. There will be constant reminders
that you are using the limited Shareware version, and you have 30 days to evaluate the
program before registering.
"CATraxx is developed by record collectors for record collectors." It is
invaluable for the serious music connoisseur.
