Fast text Clipboard works very, very simply, as a cut-and-paste companion
to your Windows clipboard. And it looks just like a clipboard too. This is not a
clip-enhancer that auto-captures, but adds the current Windows clipboard text item when
you click "Add from Clipboard." (If you're already using an auto-capture type
clip enhancer, this app works alongside without conflict.) You may also type in text items
to your Fast Text Clipboard listing. Contents are viewed in either alphabetical order or
the order in which they were added. It handles text only, no images. The really nice
feature of this program is the "drag window" which appears with a single click
of the system tray icon. You can drag and drop Fast Text Clipboard text clips into your
open document, and the little drag screen is small and unobtrusive. The main Fast Text
Clipboard viewer, on the other hand is a fixed size, roughly one-quarter the size of a
13.9 -inch screen and stays on top, without option for auto-hide. Since the drag window
affords easy retrieval, the main viewer is best brought up when you're adding and
organizing your clip list.
The developers say Fast Text Clipboard has conflicts in pasting into Internet Explorer 4
pages, but I didn't have any problem. The product is fully functional for a 30-day
evaluation, with nag screens.
