Gomer is an excellent alternative to the high priced "big guys",
in HTML design. The interface is very intuitive, assuming you know a little something of
what you are doing. All the Netscape tags are supported including, tables and frames.
There are "wizards" to help you through basic design. If you want to make
changes you are going to need learn some about the HTML language. Which this program
encourages you to do.
The program itself is small which is a definite plus when designing large Web pages or
sites. Gomer integrates with most Web browsers to view your work in progress.
Documentation is sparse, but in a useful "nut and bolts" style, there is a
how-to tutorial included. Many useful pictures, backgrounds, and other Web design art come
with Gomer, but you don't get the legal right to use them until registration.
A beta is in the works for a 32 bit version. Even though the author said it was full of
bugs, it seems pretty stable to me. Registered users get the upgrade free. If you want to
do Web Page design, this program is certainly worth a look.
