Icon Extractor for Windows can pull icons from any file, and reads EXE, DLL, ICO, ICL, NIL, and IL formats. You can easily copy any icon resource onto the Windows clipboard for insertion into documents, and it can be configured to load your favorite graphics editor directly from the program. Options in the shareware version 3.0 include audible sounds to verify each copy made to the clipboard and a system tray icon for quick access. Very convenient and easy to use.

The freeware version 1.31 is completely functional and yours to keep. The shareware version 3.02 has a 30-day evaluation period and is completely functional, without any nag reminders.
