The Incredible Machine is a puzzle game using objects to achieve a goal.
This version deals with gravity and air pressure themes. The object of each puzzle is to
move objects, balls, balloons, gears, ramps, ropes, motors, and pulleys to achieve an end
purpose. The program teaches as it plays. Items work together to move or create other
actions to solve the puzzle. Scores for finishing the puzzle and bonuses for speed and use
of objects are added. Completion of a puzzle allows the player to move to the next puzzle.
Each level increases the difficulty of the solution. The program is an excellent use of
fun and education for all ages.
The program is filled with graphics and sounds to make the game enjoyable. The program is
very easy to use and has options available to allow the user to freeform their own
puzzles. Screen aids help the user to move through the puzzles and a solve option. Plenty
of support with Sierra is available on the Internet. The cost is very low for all 50
levels and the freeform option. An excellent program.
