Download/HomepageMinitris is a simple and fun game for Win95. As the name implies, the game
could be considered a Tetris clone. However, its not nearly the same as all the other
Tetris clones out there, the big difference being its simplicity. My 5 year old brother is
able to play it, yet its still challenging enough that I myself have spent hours playing.
The game design is simple. It consists of blocks which are all the same size and shape,
but different colors. The object is to stack the blocks on top of each other as they fall
into the playing area, which is 4 blocks wide. When you complete a line of either 3 or 4
blocks of the same color, they disappear giving room for more blocks. As the game
progresses, the blocks drop at faster speeds, until eventually they fill to the top and
your game is over.
The game is packed with features, including a password protected players list, password
protected high score list, and nice sound effects. The only drawback in the shareware
version is that you are limited to playing 45 games, after which you are asked to
register. Over all this game is well worth the 12 bucks to unlock it.
