This is a sample collection of the latest brain teaser games on offer from Microsoft. The trial version contains the first two levels of Finty Flush, five levels of Spring Weekend, and two levels of Rat Poker. There are also sneak previews of some of the higher levels. All three have bright cheerful graphics, plenty of life and animation and real playability. Finty Flush is a marble game, shuffle the frames to drop coloured marbles into the right patterns. Spring weekend is a twist on the old sliding square games - rotate portions of a picture to match it to the template. Rat Poker is so SILLY you cannot stop playing it. To the tune of some totally daft music a series of multi coloured rats trundle happily down a ladder wearing idiot grins. Open and shut the trap to get the same coloured rats matched up and then let them escape.
The trial version is good for hours of innocent fun. The music is really happy and does not grate on the nerves, the colourful and ridiculously cute graphics make the screen a pleasure to look at and the controls have stacks of help and hints and are very easy to grasp. This trial pack alone is well worth the download, the full version contains a total of ten games and a very large number of levels. The games can be picked up and put down in seconds, there is even a Boss key (the Esc key) which instantly reduces the game to a silent shortcut on the task bar, so you can continue to work on that very interesting spreadsheet if the boss wanders past. (who - me? never!).
Reviewers note: these marks are for the trial version.I have not yet managed to talk my boss into buying the full one, but I am working on it.("It reduces stress levels and increases productivity - honest it does.")
