MVP Bridge is the classic Bridge card game. If you ever wanted to learn to
play bridge then I suggest you get this game. Besides the 8 tutors it offers it will walk
you through each step of every hand by using the hint option. For those of you who already
know how to play bridge you have lots of options to choose from. Under the play menu you
can choose from Rubber, Chicago, Duplicate, Saved Hand, or 9 Special Hands. For making the
game suit your taste there are also bidding (Goren or StdAm), conventions (13 to choose
from), display order, display size, multi player (human or computer opponents), verbose,
background music (on or off), event music (on or off), video (only if you are having
problems), and colors (16 or 256) menus and options.
Once you start playing a game you get several of the above options plus you get a hand
menu (save, explain, and print), a hint option, a kibitz option, and 16 card backs to
choose from.
To be honest I do not know how to play bridge but this program will be an excellent way to
learn how. The graphics and sounds are good. Some of the features such as display options
won't work in the shareware version you need to register it to get all the options to
work, no time limits, more background music, different card faces, more card backs to
choose from and a printed manual.
