Here a slice, there a slice, everywhere a slice, slice. . .opps, wrong
song but when you use Picture Dicer you may just be singing praises for such a useful tool
by Showstring Projects. Picture Dicer will take an image and let you define and measure
where you want to slice it up at and then give you all the needed code to insert into a
Web page in the "table" format.
Here's how it works:
(1) Load an image in the .bmp; .dib; .gif; .jpg; .pcx; .tif;*.format and load it up in
Dicer.
(2) Place horizontal and/or vertical cuts where "you" want to slice the image.
You can delete any cuts you make so feel free to cut, cut, cut.
(3) Decide your "output" format.
(4) Process the image.
When Picture Dicer runs it through its' "mixer" you have and exact image of
multiple pieces ready to be inserted into your page (which by the way, smaller pictures
seem to load faster then one large image). You can also use this program to create great
mouse-over effect pictures and/or image maps using the multiple pieces inserted into one
table.
