Download/HomepagePresident is a simple but addictive 5 player card
game you can play against the computer or over the internet. It
has nice sounds and graphics. It prefers the 16 Bit Hi Color
setting but will run just fine under 256 colors. The object of
the game is to get rid of your cards first. A card, a pair or
cards, three of a kind, or 4 of a kind is led the next person has
to play the same number of cards of equal or greater value (be if
somebody leads a single King the next player has to play a King
or an Ace) if you can't play you have the option of playing a 2
which will give you the lead or of passing. The player who gets
rid of their cards first becomes president, second becomes vice
president, third becomes Neutral, fourth becomes Vice Loser and
Fifth becomes Loser. In the next game the President gets the
Losers best 2 cards and gives him his worse (computer decides)
and the Vice President gets the Vice Losers best card and gives
him his worse. The Neutral player neither gives or receives any
cards from another player.
You can choose to be Bogie, Cat, Cpu, Einstein, Groucho, Henry8,
Mae West, Monroe, WC Fields, or use your own picture. The
computer will randomly choose 4 of the remaining characters. The
computer players use artificial intelligence to make them unique
and interesting. If you would rather play against real players
you can play for free over the internet. You can host your own
game using the program that comes with president of join an
existing one. You can also host more than one game. While playing
over the internet you can click on a person's picture to send
them a message and click the envelope over the person's head to
receive a message from that person.
The shareware version allows you play 150 games. You can register
the program via the web, email, fax, or snail mail.
