PrimeOut runs in a very small window (about 140 *
60) which has buttons for restarting, exiting, booting, and
logging off windows with the click of a button. It also shows the
time, date, and day of week, as well as giving the user an option
to have the computer shut down or boot up at a specified time.
This application is something interesting to have sitting around,
but not really worth the $20, I think. Its functionality is very
limited, and its relatively huge size of 1.37 MB makes it a pain
to download. Once you install it, it's not going anywhere,
because there's no uninstaller. The shareware license agreement
expires after 30 days, too. Hmph.
Developers Note: - PrimeOut can be uninstalled by selecting Add/Remove Programs from the Control Panel. - The large file size is due to the fact that I included the VB 5 runtime files in the installation routine. - As for the 30 day evaluation period: Is 30 days not enough time to review PrimeOut? It's my understanding that 30 days is the industry standard and believe that 30 days is enough time to review the product.
