I was blown away by Recipe Wizard. It's not too
often that shareware will make your jaw drop... much less one
about RECIPES; but hey, no matter what computer gear we have
wrapped around our work/play station, we're all human and we all
gotta eat.
This software, and the web site that goes with it, have a lot
going for them that the most techie minded could learn from.
(Hint: It's spelled something like F-U-N-c-t-i-o-n-a-l
U-S-E-R-F-R-I-E-N-D-L-I-N-E-S-S. Rant over.)
The developer's site, besides, being a well designed locus for
information about the company and its family of software, is a
repository of recipes for downloading and easy import into
"Recipe Wizard".
When I say repository, I mean of the Fort Knox variety, like
wandering into the inner lives of Martha Stewart, Julia Child,
and Better Homes and Gardens all at once.
Did I mention easy? This program is so easy (yet with every
possible feature) that it's downright lovable.
Am I excited about this program? Yes.
Am I impressed by the web site that strengthens and extends their
product in a way I'd like all of the corporate universe to
emulate? Yes.
Do I think their graphics are attractive, useful, and engaging?
Yes.
Do I think $19.95 is a dirt cheap price for all of this fun? Yes.
Should you buy it even if you only pick up a spoon once a year?
You got it.
