This dice game is pretty cute, and it's easy to
play; but the directions don't cover a couple of things. They
don't really explain the scoring very well; they mention it in
the strategy guide, which you're supposed to stay out of until
you learn the rules. Also, the first time I started the game, it
asked for my name and location, so that the info would be right
while playing on line, but that is the last time I saw on-line
playing mentioned.
The default opponent is the computer, you play a set of four
games, and there is 3 windows that open on the side, so you don't
forget the keyboard commands, or what the sounds sound like or
what beats what. After you roll all, you have to roll at least
once more, and it appears that you do not get penalized for that
roll. But after that you can roll as many times as you like, as
long as you keep improving your hand. Once a roll goes by that
doesn't improve your hand, you "bust".
As I said, scoring is obscure, but the game is fun enough to play
with the score staying a surprise. Hopefully, this art of scoring
is something that will rub off after a while.
