Sentinels of Ceth

Type of program: Arcade game
Supported platforms: Win 95
Company Name: Stickman Games
Version: 1.1
Cost: $20
Installed size: 6.5MB
This is a game along the style of raptor. You
have a ship, with lousy guns at the beginning, no armor, and you
have to guard 12 gems from every bandit in the world. At this
point in the game, you only have 20 hit points, and you can't
even try to fly and duck until at least one of your gems have
been snatched. And if you get blown up, [you do have 3 lives]
while the games is restoring you enemies come out of the
woodwork. You have got to hit the board shooting.
If you manage to survive the first wave, and you have made enough
"blessings" [i.e. money], there is a temple store,
where you can drool over stuff you can't afford. There is a
temple bingo button, which, if I've got this right [I don't do
odds very well], you have a 50% chance of increasing your
blessings. I haven't played with this too much; I'm still trying
to get a grip on shooting those opportunist nasty little
&$@*!&%#@* ships; I think they hunt in a pack.
The only real bad thing I saw is this is one of those programs
that will only play a 10 minute demo until its registered. In my
case, that is still no problem, I get killed in about 4 minutes,
but practice makes perfect.
