I decided that I needed to create a screensaver for one of the programs I'm responsible for and I stumbled across this 7-day shareware program. Little did I know huge disappointment loomed ahead.
This program took over 30 minutes to install. Yes, folks, that is on a Pentium 133 machine. Once installed it runs like a charm. It just doesn't help you create anything charming. The company claims that you can use your own text and graphics to create "stunning and professional screensavers". I followed their directions and created a static screensaver. The images don't move around the screen. They just rotate every five minutes. While the screensaver wizard is easy to use and understandable to all, it just doesn't give you very many options for creating various screensaver effects.
This program is not worth the time it took to install it. I'm still looking for a screensaver creation kit, though. I'll let you know what I find.
