I recently upgraded from 2.x to 5.0 and the way I can best sum this program up is "Its the only thing of its kind". It has the ease of use I want, and then when I wanted to customize it, the documentation told me step by step how to do that too. Its a smooth integration to go between this and good 'ol Dos. The interface is user friendly enough that documentation doesn't even need to be included (IMHO). A point and click interface is used and can be configured to open text files in whatever program you want.
It smoothly integrates PKZIP and other shareware programs that do things such as viewing.Gif's. This shell lets you delete, move, copy, and view files directly from the shell. It keeps track of how many files are in a directory, how big those files are, how many files you've deleted, and how many kilobytes you've deleted. It doesn't however make it any easier to undelete files. It lets you wipe directories and files. Formatting disks, comparing files, tree displays, shelling to Dos, printing, and much more is possible and easily done with this shell. If there is anything you want Dos to do, I'd bet this shell can help you.
