Tonk is a game much like gin rummy. The scoring is different with the aces
and number cards has face value. The face cards are 10 points each. The object of the game
is to have the lowest score to win the hand. The dealer deals six cards to each player and
one from the deck face up in a separate pile or heap. The player takes turns choosing from
the deck or the heap. The players can spread with three or more in a suit in sequence or
three or more of a kind. The player may select tonk at the beginning of their turn. The
player with the lowest points at the tonk wins the hand.
The program works well with on screen hints and guides. The help file gives all rules and
options available. The player can choose computer or human opponents. You can change card
backs and background. The sounds can be turned on or off.
