The time of programs which only extract files from a zipped one is over.
For the new generation of archive management programs this task is only like a drop in an
ocean of water. TurboZip makes no exception. Besides the (obvious) feature of opening and
extracting file from the all major archive and e-mail formats (ZIP, ARJ, self-extracting
files, Unix archives, UU Encoded and MIME e-mail, etc.), the program offer a huge number
of other options. Among these it offers, for example, the creation of the aforementioned
archive and email files, the preview of any file contained by an archive without open the
archive itself (TurboZip supports over 100 file formats), the creation of self-extracting
ZIP files and creation of multiple disk archives to archive and transport large files
using multiple diskettes, the option to run auto-backup scripts to backup files during off
hours. And these are not all the features offered by TurboZip. Due to this overwhelming
number of options, the program requires a little of practice to be used at its best, but
it pays off the time spent on it. In performing this task you'll be supported by an
excellent on-line Help, which sports also a FAQ and How-to sections, the latter useful
also as a tutorial.
