This self-executing file is something to help you
keep track of dates. Street cleaning in front of my house is on
the 4th Friday of the month, which has cost me a couple of
tickets. I either forget all together, or I get Fridays mixed up
and I have long looked for a reminder program that could
understand the "4th Friday of every month". I even
started looking for one that I could program manually, month by
month; but, then I found this program.
All I had to do was "add" an event, and I was given a
whole page of options; one time only, weekly, monthly, yearly, or
custom. Since I didn't know what the dates would be, I tried
custom, and there it was. I gave me a range of dates, [weeks
worth] and a list of days of the week. I set it for 21st to 28th,
Friday and I've checked ahead a year and the 4th Friday of each
month is marked. You also have the option of how many days ahead
to be reminded, how many minutes before the event to be reminded
and an alarm setting, with several wav files for alarm noises.
It also keeps track of holidays and such both by an add-on list,
[which includes both daylight savings days with the direction to
set the clock] and the option to add you own special days. When
you set it to hide upon opening, it makes a tiny icon by the
clock on the taskbar, and its always ready to pop up at a touch
to help with whatever you need reminded.
