DownloadThis program download files off the internet
outside of your browser. As you surf you can copy the link of the
file, page, or graphic you want to download to WinDownload by
using the "copy link address" of your browser and then
pasting or by dragging the link to the WinDownload's drop box.
You can then choose to download the file right then while you go
on with your surfing or schedule the download for a later time.
You can download many files at the same time. You can save the
list pasted in WinDownload to download on another day. You can
choose where you want each file to download to. It downloads the
files much faster then any browser I have seen. It also downloads
from http or ftp sites and it even allows you to enter the
information needed to download from secure sites. You can choose
to log downloads so that you have a reference of the files that
were successfully downloaded and where they went to. If something
happens and a file doesn't download all the way you can set it up
where it will overwrite the files, resume the download, or
automatically rename the file.
This was one of the first programs that I downloaded off the
internet. The author is constantly making it better adding things
like page extraction, the ability to scan the file for viruses,
and the ability to automatically extract the zip files to name a
few. The help is excellent and if you write the author he
responds quickly. This program has a 21 day free trial with no
crippling. Try it out and see for yourself all the features that
are packed in the program. If you are like me you will never go
back to downloading from your browser. It even makes sure that
any images you want to save is downloaded completely.
