Interactive Magic has continued their pattern of online flight sim games. But when I say pattern, I mean pattern. Warbirds was pretty good, only because of its wide selection of planes. Dawn of Aces can be summed up in one word, Okay.

It is okay; its free, the graphics are very nice and the sounds are good as well, but the gameplay is a little iffy. There are also a few performance bugs that further pollute the overall rating of the game.

There are several planes to fly and DirectX 3D is supported and Dawn of Aces is rather user friendly and easy to install and run. But the planes are very hard to control for a novice and maybe even a good gamer also. If you are looking for a good, strong flight sim you can't find it here. If you are looking for a good online game, Jane's kicks the heck out of iMagic Online. And Jane's Online Combat Net is completely free, iMagic's online dog-fighting network is not free and it's also not worth it.
