Greed is a extremely aggravating game, for 1-4 people. It is another dice
game like 10,000; where you must get up to the agreed upon amount before your opponent.
Aces are worth 100 points, 5's are worth 50, and after that, you must get some kind of
combination, or stick with aces and 5's. [you know, 3 of a kind, three sets of doubles,
etc.] The catch is you can roll as long as you like, but the first time you turn up a roll
with no points in it, you bust and lose everything you have acquired on that roll.
If you are playing against the computer, then you are playing against Arnie. Arnie cheats!
I know he does-if I could roll dice like that, I'd be in Los Vegas living high on the hog,
and reading someone else's reviews! Seriously, you can set Arnie for 3 settings, Dead
Drunk, Normal, or Paranoid. Dead Drunk means he doesn't pay a lot of attention to what
he's doing, and takes fantastic chances; Paranoid means he never takes any chances at all,
holds with very small sums, and the rules say this is the easiest setting to win against
when you are first learning. Normal means he cheats-I mean he rolls extremely well, and
employs strategy to all his moves.
The help file contains some strategy hints to start a beginner off, and is very easy to
understand. The game is a little pricey, but not too bad and it is fun. Yeah, ok, even
that darn Arnie is fun, too.
