Here's a quick and easy way to annotate any file, with a companion
"note" in TXT format. FileNote is a simple shell extension that adds a
"FileNote" item to your context menu. If there's a file you wish to attach a
text comment to (e.g., an image file) , just click on "FileNote" in the context
menu, and it opens a same-name text file in Notepad. A great way to attach comments or
reminders.
For instance, if you have an image file called Picture.jpg -- right-click on FileNote to
open a new file Picture.txt. Next time you right-click on Picture.jpg and select FileNote,
the Picture.txt file will open for viewing/editing. No more hunting anywhwere else for
sticky notes (or whatever you use for keeping file comments).
FileNote's context-menu access makes this a truly time-saving way to annotate and retrieve
important comments and notes on non-TXT files. It's little, it's unobtrusive, and it's
