Five+ is a very entertaining little game, which can be play on your own or
over the internet. Played on a grid that is 9x9, you start out with 3 marbles; and each
time you move a marble, the computer puts a specific number of new marbles randomly on the
board. You have to line up 5 or more of the same color, either horizontally, vertically,
or diagonally. Of course, as you try to line up the colors, more marbles come down to
probably block you; the only time that more marbles don't drop is when you make a match of
5 or more; then the match disappears and you score. There is also joker balls, which are
clear and can be used as any color; or sticks of dynamite, which not only count as any
color; but all the marbles of the color it ends up being used as will also disappear. You
don't get a score for the extra disappearing marbles, just the match row, though, but if
you are getting locked in with too many marbles it can be a lifesaver.
In the unregistered version you can only go to a score of 250, so you miss out on some
bonuses and some extra problems [20 marbles drop per turn] if your score is over 1000;
also, you will get rid of the "please register me" commercial that interrupts
the game every 5 minutes or so for 5-10 seconds.
This game is easy enough that kids can play, and contains enough strategy that it will
interest the adults, and the price is easy enough to warrant registering it.
