Escape is a Dos based, mind boggling, and very addictive puzzle/arcade
game. There are different rules in each level, and there are obstacles that range from
lasers to light switches, to wires that you have to line up to create a circuit, while
always trying to get to the infamous EXIT. The program runs exceptionally well, and it
will run in Windows 95 in full screen mode. The graphics (VGA) are very good, and the
sound, while from the PC Speaker, it keeps the size of the program lower than a Megabyte.
The sounds are not bad, but new games need to have actual digital sounds to be considered
a hit. However, Escape is a nice arcade hit, that is bound to keep anyone busy for at
least a day or so, and it does have a lot to offer.
The most ingenious feature in this game is the built in level builder that lets you build
your own, custom levels that you can play in the game. The game itself is 2D, and reminds
me of Microsoft Entertainment Pack's Chip's Challenge, and most puzzle fans that I know
love Chip's Challenge. I recommend this one to all of you puzzle fans out there.
