Get Piste is a 2D arcade game that reminds me of any game that Apogee
Shareware makes. You have to move around the screen collecting gems, until you get all
three of them, and move on to the next level. You need a mouse, and a Dos mouse driver, or
you will not be able to play the game at all. To move, you have to right click on where
you want the character (in this game the character is a skier) to move. The left click
will trigger a special gadget that you can use in the level, like a bomb, or a line.
I liked the sounds in this game, as well as the music. The sounds really provide you with
an arcade feel, and the MIDI music, is rather fitting, because you are skiing, and there
is Christmas music with a bit of a thriller twist to it. The graphics are very good for a
Dos arcade game, and the program is very easy to install, as long as you can unzip the
files.
I recommend this game, to all of those Commander Keen, and Apogee fans, because it will
slightly remind you of the classics.
