The installation of the program went smoothly. You are allowed to pick your own drive etc for the program files. Also if you have an older version of iFox98 it will search for it. Another nice touch that is becoming more frequent these days is that it asks you in which folder you want the program executables to reside.

The first time you run the program it automatically opens to the setup window.

The purpose of this program is to help you with your internet downloads. With it you drag and drop or cut and paste a download link, either http or ftp. It supports resuming broken downloads and timing of downloads. It also stores your downloads automatically with a unique approach. You can have it store them automatically by date, if you do this when you download on say October 23rd you will find your files from that date in the following hierarchy, 1998\10\23. Also you can attach to the file a note about it, so that you can identify it again.

Sometimes you will find several links to the file you want on a web page, these are links to alternate sites which contain the file. These sites are referred to as Mirror sites.
iFOX 98 allows you to build a mirror site list from which to download the file you want.
Then if has problems with a site it will go to one of the other sites.

There are numerous other features in this well thought out program, such as Internet connect and disconnect, multiple downloads, it's own file manager called iManage 98, and a full featured graphics viewer.

All in all this program represents a fresh new look in downloading and file management, if you do a lot of downloading you owe to yourself to give this program a try.

There is only one nag screen when you run the program the first time. You get a full featured 30 days to try this program out, after that some features stop working.
