Account Pro is a good double-entry bookkeeping system. Many options make this software very competitive to it's commercial counterparts. The most dramatic difference is the way it appears on your screen. It has the noted "DOS" look. But performance is where this program catches up.

Included is Balance and Profit/Loss sheets, Budget Planner, and Projections for month and year. Also carry-overs are allowed with customizable lengths of accounting periods. You can view a variety of statistics, add password protection, export data, and it also has a back-up to disk function. Most importantly for businesses with several people entering data is the ability to be set up to allow access over a network. It will run from a DOS window under Win 95/98.
