Block Drop is a tetris like game with 11 to 49 blocks of different shapes.
The block shapes drop and can be rotated and dropped into position. When a horizontal line
is completed, a score is recorded and the line disappears. The top row can be removed with
the cancel command or a bomb can be dropped to remove blocks during the game. Each level
is more difficult than the previous level. Difficulty levels are determined by the number
of different blocks in the level. Scores are kept in the Hall of Fame for the top ten
scorers.
The game is very easy to play and runs very smooth. However some of the keys for specific
functions are scattered all over the keyboard and function keys. The + key is used to
rotate the blocks and the x key is used to change the color patterns of the blocks. The B
key is used to select the bomb and the - key drops the bomb. Once you learn the keys this
game can be very addictive.
The graphics are satisfactory and changes in the music is available in the options menu.
Reading the help file and instructions carefully is a must before this game is played.
There is a 30 day free trial. Registering allows you to play the last 2 difficulty levels.
Those wanting to play the 16 bit Win 3.1 version needs to go to the home page and download
that version.
