Font Xplorer is a font manager with power users in mind. Most people never really think about what fonts they have on their systems, but if you're into DTP then fonts are your life blood. Imagine a world were all publications used either Arial or Times New Roman. Pretty dull, huh?
With Font Xplorer you can browse through your fonts, even if they're not installed, if you like a font you can install it, if you don't then you can un-install it. The fonts are displayed in a list, so comparisons can easily be made between them. The displayed text can also be changed to whatever you want, making easy to get the right one for the job. Fonts on the screen are one thing, but the might look different when printed. Not surprisingly then, this program will also print them out for you.
At $20, this might be a bit expensive for the casual user. Luckily though, there's a cut-down freeware version available, which will probably suit most users.
