I have always loved the game Empire, and while this newest game is fun, their about to go to far in upgrading it, [unless a lot of practice will help-a lot!] Everything is mouse driven now and it causes a few problems With the older game, attacking was using a keystroke, so when you got low on armies, you could watch yourself easily. With this version, and the mouse, you have to be real quick or you will just run out of armies in a hurry and if this countries sympathies lay with your opponant and you need a certain amount of armies there, you are in trouble! And if you think that is fast hit blitz once that goes like lightning, but better have plenty of armies, you can't stop that at all!

Also, this is not a full screen game, the screen only covers about half the monitor, and that makes seeing all them little countries kinda hard. On the plus side you can now do multiple army transfer, which you couldn't do before, and they don't have to be at the end of the turn, like they used to be. You can transfer armies, then attack again, transfer again-whatever. Another new function is that at the beginning of your turn, before you assign any armies, you can invade any country in the world by air, and any country in the world with a coastline by sea [the sea invasion is only available in the registered version]

The object is still conquering the world, you can now play Empire on the internet. Other than that, if you remember Empire, you will know how to play World Empire 4, so enjoy.
