Anyone that uses a graphic editor or collects graphics files knows how much hard disk space can quickly disappear into duplicate graphic files. Before you know it, you have four copies of the same graphic, perhaps in different sizes and versions, in different files on your hard drive.
This is just the problem d'peg was designed to solve. All you have to do is to tell the program which directories to search, and by what parameters (whether to search by file name, size, or pattern), and start . . . and it will display the duplicates it finds, asking which to keep, and whether to rename, move, etc. It also supports some 24 different graphic formats (i.e. jpg, gif, etc., etc.). It can even pick out graphics that are identical, but mirrors of each other!
The program is very easy to install and use. The customer support available is very good. The only problem I had was downloading the software; for some reason, the zip file kept coming up as corrupted or an incomplete download. This could be my ISP's fault. All in all, I feel very good about this software and company.
