In my past, I tried more than once to learn how to play Euchre. I managed Pinochle, and I managed Cribbage, but I never could learn how to play this game. [and I never went near Bridge-if I think this is hard.....] Well, I downloaded this game for the heck of it, and to see how the rules were, especially since I always had so much trouble with this game. I've noticed, especially with solitaire, that for some reason, people that can write a card game seem to fall down completely with rules. Well, I gotta tell you, this guy does pretty good. I'm not a good player by any means yet, I still need a keeper, but I think I'm finally starting to get the hang of it. That's high praise indeed, whether you know that or not!

You can change the level of sound from Full to Part, change the color of the table, give names to your 'buddies' slow down or quicken the game or the card speed, change the order the cards are displayed in your hand, or display tool tips or not. You can choose whether to play with 24, 25, 32, or 33 cards, or whether you want to play with a Benny, choose how many points constitute a game, and choose how your partner bids, from Conservative, Standard, or Cowboy. You can also choose whether to use a "Farmer's Hand" or not and what to do if the Benny turns up as the card in the center.

If you register this game, you will get the newest version, [with better card playing skills] free updates for life, the registered version has a more pleasing background picture, [there words not mine-the shareware version has the author and his family portrait as a background], you can save $4 by allowing the registered game to come to you via e-mail, and for a small extra postage cost, [which is not specified] the author will include a registered copy of Bridge Card Game from Special K, or 500 card game for Windows 95.
