The download and install was uneventful. The graphic interface is easy to read and clean. There are instructions on use included with the software, as well as a full online help file. It even shows you how to test the software to make sure it's working! If the software detects an attempted connection through one of your computer's ports, a siren goes off. It even traces the hacker's ISP!
At $25, this software is a great deal, and the piece of mind it provides is well worth the small investment. I'm told that there's a new version of ProtectX due out within a few months that will include trojan protection, traceroute, along with many other features. If you purchase ProtectX 3.01 now, the future upgrade is free. Get it!
