This game is similar to Monopoly, only instead of just buying properties,
you also build up companies, and try to gain market shares, [whatever that means]. You can
play against the computer or someone else. You can also decide the amount of money you
start with, [the more money-the more difficult, the default is $50,000,000, and you will
have to remember that if you change the amount of money, you must also change it for the
computer character-otherwise you will take unfair advantage--snicker] You can also decide,
among other things, when to quit-for example till someone becomes a billionaire, or for
one hour, etc.
There is property to buy, if you don't have the money. you automatically get a loan; there
are standard lots, and industrial lots, which cost more to develop, but pay more.
there is also stocks to buy, and there is a stock market simulator embedded in the game,
so that the stock market prices show a relationship with the game.
There is lots and lots more to this game, but the author did such a good job on the rules,
I'm not going to quote them here, and I couldn't paraphrase all the rules as well as he
did.
You can start building right away, you don't need a certain amount of property like
Monopoly. I must admit that the stock market portion of the game confused me, but that's
true in real life too.
My only complaint is that the register nag prompt comes up MUCH too often. I understand
that the author wants the program registered, so that he can make some money for all his
work, but I got annoyed at one point, and started watching my watch, and the fastest I saw
it roll was 3 times in 75 seconds!
