Pulsoid according to the author is a "spectrum remake" but since I never played spectrum I will just say it is a breakout style game. It has 32 levels and a level editor. You can choose to play with a ball (arcanoid) or snake (pulsoid). The object of course is to clear all the blocks off the board with your arcanoid or pulsoid or by shooting them. You get guns by catching the C icon when it falls. There are other things that fall some will kill you and some won't you will just have to experiment and find out. It has pretty nice graphics.

There were some drawbacks to this game. First it was supposed to have great sound and music but I never heard any music and the sound effects were so so. Another problem is either you will have to have really quick reflexes or a slower machine. I have a 300A Celeron and the ball got moving faster then I could move my mouse and I have a touch pad so I only have to move my finger. Another drawback is the absence of a help file so you just have to experiment to see what things will do. Like going into options and preferences to setup a 2 player game and so on. One more thing I did not like is when the game is over you have to go through about 5 screens before you get to the game over screen where you can start a new game. It's free though and you can't beat free.
