If you've got a WinHelp file that you want to convert to HTML or to an
HTMLHelp file, and you use 'hotspot' pictures, then you need Shg2Map.
This utility takes the hotspot image files and creates all the files necessary to use the
image and hotspots on either HTML pages or in HTML Help. Shg2Map takes a (i.e.; the
Hotspot image file), and splices it into image and image map files. The first image file
created will be in either Bitmap or Windows Metafile Format, an the second image file will
be the bitmap image converted to GIF or JPG format (depending on your preference). Final
output files can be in the form of NCSA, CERN, or client side image map formats.
This small program makes it a snap when needing to convert Help files over to HTML files
and makes it a lot less time consuming as well.
Go ahead and check it out if you ever want to save yourself some time and frustration.
