DISco Pump is an offline browser for reading multiple pages referring to
each other. It will place a mirror image of the pages wanted on your hard drive for
reading while offline, to save connection costs.
It can be run in auto mode, you can enter a mission for it, and it will work without you
by gathering the pages that fit into the mission parameters. It will also reconnect if it
loses connection, and hang up when done.
You can allow or ban the files gathered, graphics, wavs, audio, video, or download files.
You have file structures like the common "catalog tree" and "document
tree" where all references and logical structure of the page are shown. while
"pumping" it is possible to display the chosen page using your browser just by
clicking to its icon in the tree.
I'm not very good or smart when it comes to utilities, and that's why I have mixed
feelings about this program. It seemed that the directions were a little difficult to
understand, however that is my only complaint about the program. I was able to use it, and
it "pumped" away while I did something else. I would say that while this a good
program, it isn't for computer novices.
The shareware version is limited to only 50 pages a run, the full version is limited only
by your imagination.
