Download/HomepageSir Bombalot is called the advancement of chess. Course chess never looked like this! You can win by eliminating all your opponent's pieces, or by scoring any 2 pieces in your opponent's goal squares. A stalemate occurs when you can no longer move. Your pieces are coils, triggers, super coil, pusher, mimic, bomb, and a freezer. Are you lost yet? Good. Wait till you find out how these pieces move! I'm not going to re-type the rules for you, but I'll tell you about one just to get an idea. The mimic imitates the last enemy piece moved and remains the piece until it moves again. Now are you confused? Well, I am! You can play against the computer or you can utilize network or IRQ play. You can create your own object files or music and sound effects to replace the ones supplied. The graphics are good, it has a 3D look.
It's a strange game, chess is hard enough, this is murder. But that is just the fact that since I'm not a great chess player, I've worked so hard to learn what I know, that when I looked at the game board, my mind went out to lunch. I do have one complaint though, I think that the rules could have been a little more extensive. They mention goal squares, well I was never really sure where those were. I just think that it could have been a little...more!
