Cache Banish is for Internet Explorer 5.0, but not to worry, if you haven't taken the plunge yet, there are detailed directions for fixing it so that it will work with I.E. 4.0 Otherwise, what this program does is kill all those crazy temp and cache folders that get created when you play on the web. [I tried to click on a folder in Cache 2 once, the computer didn't like that, it moved it to Cache 4-AND refused to tell me where Cache 4 was] So I'm sure, that even if that never happened to you, you still know there are places hidden deep under Windows somewhere that are just getting bigger and bigger and bigger.
There are 6 user buttons, 8 other buttons, [these can all be assigned to certain folders] a typed URL button, and a history button. There is a delete method, which allows you to pick, button by button, whether you want to delete the files to the recycle button or just kill them completely. You can click on one button after another, then click on delete cache, [this allows you to see what was in the folders-which I'm not sure why you'd want to but that's good anyway, huh?] There is also a Kill All button for those that are impatient.
You know how I am about utilities, I'm not sure what I just did, but it seemed to work pretty good!
