This program appears to be a good little program. When I say appears to be, I wasn't able to see the actual removal process, cause that isn't the way the shareware version works. The shareware version leads you through the entire process, but it does't let you actually remove any garbage files until you register it.
The first time ever you open the program, you are invited to scan your entire drive, but that is only shown once. Then you go into the main menu, and you find that you can check any drives you have, and you can examine video, pictures, screen savers, sound files, word processor files, zip files and more to determine if their are any that you want to get rid of, and easily get rid of them. No more wondering where the old screen savers are keep, and then needing to track them down, this goes throughout the category you request, puts them all up on the window at the top of the main menu box, and gives you the option to get rid of any you don't want.
When you finish that, you will hit the 'fetch all' button and it will scan all the necessary folders and give you a total first. When I ran mine it told me it found 263 garbage files for a total of 8517360 bytes, 127 0 bytes files, 127 cached wallpaper files for a total of 576239 bytes, and 216 cached pictures for a total of 1053407 bytes. As I say, I can't get rid of any of them because this is the shareware version, but it will give you an idea of how much garbage is on your system.
Among the other goodies the program contains is a PC Garbage Trash can, which is separate from your recycle bin to make it easier to retrieve files if you decide you made a mistake deleting something.
One last thing, if you register the program, you will receive a free video screen saver that will allow you to enter and view up to 100 of your MPEG or AVI video files. This screen saver also has several other options. There is a shipping and handling charge for US Postal mail or International mail, but no charge for e-mail delivery.
Hey, at least check it out!
