Well if you are haven't heard of WinZip you are new to computers. WinZip is "The Standard" in archive and compression software. There are reasons why WinZip is in this position. The first one is that it's product is just plain and simple better than anyone elses. The second reason is customer service. They have the best customer service in the business. Plus free upgrades. Also they are constantly making WinZip better.

They now have released version 9.0 beta. The enhancements in this version include usability improvements, plus a number of security enhancements. Also with this version the limit on the size of zip files is eliminated. Another important improvement is that you can now get greater compression using the "enhanced deflate" compression method.

So what choice do you have? You can go out and try imitations or you can straight to the leader and get WinZip.
